The other day I decided to finally watch the movie WALL-E. It is an animated film that appears to have been made in the early 2020s about what Earth would look like if humans never existed. After watching this film, I instantly began thinking about what it could possibly be like for people living on our planet if something happened to humans or not? This started a very interesting conversation with my friends who are also interested in space, artificial intelligence, and what our Earth may look like without people. The theme of this conversation was very near and dear because many people are speculating about what life will be like for "robotics" or "machine intelligence" when humans can no longer survive on earth. I also could not help but think that this could be a very dangerous situation if humans were to ever be wiped out by a disaster or war. I do believe that countries in the world will put a lot of money into science and research trying to prevent a situation like this from occurring in the future, but there is always room for error when it comes to man-made things. In WALL-E when the humans left the planet, all of their stuff was still on earth and eventually it all broke down and started to clutter up everything. The robots try their best to help the humans by salvaging their beautiful structures, but eventually everything is left in a state of disrepair. Eventually, the only things that are left are robotic robots cleaning up the mess and trying their hardest to help. The last thing left at all is WALL-E who accidentally finds a piece of vintage humans food he tries to eat it but then realizes that it is all spoiled. WALL-E eventually tells the other robots that they are not human, but they are very mistaken because he sees that they will never return to Earth anymore because it has been taken over by humans again. This was an interesting film about humans living together on earth without us ever taking our space ships out our space ports. The characters in this film were very interesting because the humans who have been left on Earth have no purpose or goal. All of their technology is completely obsolete and all of the machines that they made are being put to use by robots. The people in this film are just trying to survive and rely on a little bit of hope that maybe things will get better one day, but I do believe that unless something drastic happens, Earth will live up to its name which is the home of humanity without us ever leaving our planet. - Ryan Wozniak Artificial intelligence could be dangerous if it goes wrong. This technology could mean that human beings would not be needed anymore; we wouldn't be needed for anything useful anymore. "When machines are better than us, there are no jobs to be done. When machines are not better than us, then there's no reason for them to pretend that they are." Yale Professor David Gelernter. Yale Professor David Gelernter. Interpreting the film WALL-E was interesting because even though it is a science fiction film, there were some issues that can happen in our future based on our current day problems. Many of the issues in the film do actually occur in everyday society today, so there is a chance that some of these things will happen again in the future.
